Japanese-American model Misa Shannon Dancy (シャノン・ミサ・ダンシー), 28, has been arrested for possession of synthetic narcotics, police revealed this week.
The biracial model, who works under the stage name “Shannon Nagamine,” is the daughter of an American father, and Japanese mother. She was arrested last month at her Tokyo residence in Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward, Fuji TV reported Thursday. Police said Dancy has admitted to the charge, but also admitted to using Cocaine, Marijuana, and heavy alcohol usage.
Police said they began to investigate the model last year after receiving information that she possessed illegal drugs. On Dec 10, police searched her apartment and found one MDMA (ecstasy) tablet. Aside from appearing in women’s fashion magazines, Dancy was cast in a number of television commercials, including the department store PARCO.
